Tsukamen & Izakaya Eiyasu is located at the 3rd floor of Avenue K.

Untitled

Dipping ramen is pretty rare in Malaysia. There are 5 types of sauces to choose from, namely soy sauce, miso, Japanese curry, tomato sauce and sesame. Although it seems fusion to me, but the boys love to bits! I personally love the half boiled egg, it mixed well with the sesame sauce.

Tsukemen & Izayaka Eiyasu specialty would have to be the Tsukemen. Their noodle is made of 100% high quality flour, the soup base is mixture of pork, chicken and seafood, which stewed for 9 hours before being served to your table. The last page of the menu, they show you how to eat Tsukemen the correct way, also a friendly reminder where you could notify the staff if you prefer softer noodle, as the Tsukemen noodle is slightly thick compared to the usual ones.

I immediately fall in love with its ambiance and decoration. We are lucky to have a table in the morning, as what I've known this place sometimes require a table reservation before you come.

Untitled

Courtesy to AK Food Adventure, the boyfriend and I able to dine in at Wondermama X in the morning and later in the afternoon, we have our light meal at the bar.

Untitled

After scrolling down the menu, we go for Malaysian's Most Favorite, the Nasi Lemak! They have plenty of Nasi Lemak with different sides, we picked Nasi Lemak 2.0, comes with sambal, petai prawn, kangkung, ikan bilis, egg, kacang, and deep fried soft shell crabs.

Drink Kopi with Kopi Jelly, heaven~

Untitled

The boyfriend is tempted to order a slice of cake, we are forced to give it a pass, thinking that we will come back for it in the afternoon. But apparently, other than the good old local foods, and the delicious cakes, they offered a different variety of food at the bar.

Untitled

Yakitori Beef Sandwich! Oh nom nom! The juicy beef and salty fish roe make a good combination, I can't even. Trust me, if I wasn't thinking straight that time, I would order extra 3 sets of this. I can't do this to myself, I'm that kind of stick-to-one-place person for lunch and dinner, for me to travel from Seremban to KL every day for lunch and dinner? Well, the best is Wondermama has an outlet in my hometown! Please, come down la!

Untitled

The clock is ticking, I'm rushing to join in the fun of Santa's Party @ Avenue K, well, Wondermama X, till then!

Good day peepu! This blog I will mainly share my food adventures with more than 10 restaurants/outlets, courtesy to Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur. Thank you for having us, ありがとうございます!

Untitled
Woke up early in the morning as I was departing from my hometown, which is Seremban. Decided to bring a plus one after went through the event details, where the bloggers get to indulge themselves into a wide variety of foods in Avenue K. Honestly speaking, I could eat a cow if I'm hungry, but looking at all the awesome restaurants that participated in this event, don't you know Sharing is Caring?

Had a brief introduction before we headed to the first restaurant in the list. We are all given a AK Passport, where all the restaurants are precisely listed, and some of it are limited, first come first served basis.

Untitled

Yeah, here we go! Marutama Ramen, located at the UC level, few shops away from H&M, it's easy to spot.

Untitled

We've ordered Tamago Ramen. Marutama Ramen served homemade Hakata-styled ramen noodle, which originates from Hakata district of Fukuoka city in Kyushu. Just a brief info on Japanese ramen: Nearly every region in Japan has its own variation of ramen. The most common ones is miso ramen which originally from Hokkaido.

What is so special about this bowl of ramen is, the soup is 100% pure chicken broth that made with no MSG at all. As mentioned by the manager, the soup are very susceptible to change in color and taste, and it needs a long hour for the cooking process and preparation.

My favorite is the soft boiled flavored egg, it's a bit salty but yummy! When I shared my ramen experience with my friends who studied in Japan, I was told that Marutama Ramen is a wellknown ramen specialist among the ramen lovers in many countries, also different parts in Japan.

Untitled

Next, we proceed to Maison D'lights, located just opposite Sushi Box @ C level, same level with the KLCC/LRT Station.

Untitled

The creator of these handmade Belgium chocolates is Kevin Tan. He makes customised chocolate bars to cater your needs for special occasions, such as wedding, birthday parties, company launching, annual dinners and more.

Untitled

Surprisingly, the prices are reasonably affordable! I would never thought of suggesting anyone with low budget to have customised chocolates for their special occasion, apparently, Kevin can make it happens!

Untitled

Untitled

As you can see in the photo above, there are white chocolates (boyfriend's favorite!), milk chocolates, and a variety of dark chocolates. I'm a dark chocolate person, thus I would suggest you to try out the dark chocolate series. If you are looking for special packaging, nudge Kevin at 012-6436816, he offers a wide range of packaging designs too!

Untitled

The boyfriend kept nagging to go Warisan Cafe to try out Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng Berempah.

Untitled

Warisan Cafe is located below an escalator, at the C Level. It's easily spotted at your left hand side when you're walking toward to Presto.

Untitled

The ramen experience was about an hour ago, my stomach is growling. I've ordered a set of Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng Berempah and the staff-recommended Teh Lapis Pandan Gula Melaka. We love the meal, until we forgot to snap a photo of it. (what a shame) The boyfriend practically finished a big part of the rice while I enjoyed the fried chicken, we actually tapao a set back home for my brother.

Untitled

Subway lunch box is widely loved by students and working adults in Tokyo and Taipei. I've been to these places and during busy hour there will be a phenomena where a super long queue outside the shop, people lining up to pay for their packed meal. I love the idea of having a quick meal, a convenient ones where you can finish the eating and packing disposal process within 10 minutes. If you are a frequent LRT users, head to Sushi Box @ C Level to grab a pack of Sushi or onigiri on-the-go!

We, the bloggers are given a small box of sushi each, I've chose Salmon sushi. But if you could wait until 8pm, they have this clearance sale where you get buy-1-free-1 promotion! Frankly speaking, I'm a big fan of sushi, I went back to the shop and bought one for myself as supper.

Untitled

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way... to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

Untitled

There is an on-going Christmas promotion, Make Magic Happen! You'll get 2 extra doughnuts with every dozen doughnuts (including 4 Christmas doughnuts as shown above) and also an exclusive recyclable bag for every 2 dozens doughnuts.

Untitled

After all the sweet tooth, we are dying for a cup of fine coffee. It's so exciting when we found out EspressoLab is one of the participating outlets!

Untitled

The view when I'm ordering my coffees. The lobby is fully packed with coffee lovers, the boyfriend politely turned down their cake offer as our stomach is bloated with so many meals already! As far as I concern, EspressoLab is a franchised business, unlike other well known coffee brands. I believe the franchise performance is solely depending on the operation skills and customer service, rather than just the brand itself.

Untitled

I always look up at people who are passionate about their job and take them seriously. This guy, in the red shirt is the barista. He explained the beans that been brewed in their coffees, also how to brew a perfect coffee, not forgetting the latte art 101. He has social skills to engage with their customers, and from my observation while they're serving the customers, I can tell the customers love it, and definitely they'll come back for more.

Untitled

If you're looking for a nice ambiance for a hangout or doing work, EspressoLab @ Avenue K is easily accessible via LRT, not forgetting to mention the advantage of spending your weekend here because the parking is freaking cheap compared to neighbouring malls.

Untitled

After this coffee session, the boyfriend and I decided to call my brother to join us for the rest of the day. While we are waiting for my brother to arrive, I get to go behind the bar to check out the beans as well as how he brew a cup of coffee.

Untitled

My second cup of coffee of the day.

On a side note, I know this post is super long, to know more what I've explored during the day, click here: Wonder Mama X and Santa's Party Performance.

This is a #longovedue post, obviously. I always wanted to share more about my vacation to beautiful places, but sometimes I was just being lazy and tending to think that I have no readers at all. Anyway, I still enjoy updating my own blog, so.

I've been to Melbourne 4 times during Spring and Winter in year 2006, 2011, 2012 and 2014. This time around I went to Melbourne with the boyfriend and his parents. I've been anticipating for tulip festival since two year ago as I missed this great event back then.

Well,

Tulip Festival - One of the wow factors you want to visit Melbourne during Spring. I've been to Melbourne during Spring twice, but this whole thing about tulips, is my first time!

Untitled

Tesselaar Tulip Festival, Melbourne

For one month from the mid of September to the first week of October, this tulip farm located at Monbulk Road is opened for tourists. It's impossible for me to miss it again, thus before I flew I've made ticket reservations online, just in case the tickets are sold out for the particular dates. (26th - 28th September 2014)

Tesselaar Tulip Festival, Melbourne

I took a train from the Flinders Street Train Station to Lilydale. It was just a 5 minutes walk from my hotel. From the Lilydale station, we took a shuttle bus to the farm, the whole journey took us about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Untitled

I particularly picked 27th September 2014, not only because we'll be flying home the next 2 days, the AFL Grand Final 2014 also falls on the same date. bet you can imagine how jammed is the city with all the fans around Australia flying in to join the fun.

Untitled

Starting from the first weekend to the last (22nd Sept - 5th Oct 2014), they have different themes to entertain everyone, from children to grandparents and everyone in between. I chose to visit the farm on the 27th Sept, which was the Food, Wine & Jazz Weekend! All I can think about is the food and wine tasting. Yay!

Untitled

We reached Tesselaar Tulip Farm around 11 in the morning, the place is not crowded yet. The place is huge! The entrance located at the middle of two different tulip farms, before heading to the main farm, we had a breakfast at their food canopy, serving coffees, waffles, cakes and more.

Tempted to pluck it. Is this mandarin orange?

Move to the different part of the smaller farm, rows and rows of different types of tulip! Do you have any idea how hard to take this only-me-and-the-tulips photo with many people wandering around? I practically waited until those people walk out from it and quickly jumped in between two rows and, snapped a photo.

Untitled

One of the main reason I love about Australia is, basically every place I've been to are dog friendly.

The view is already freaking awesome at the stage area, we can't wait to proceed to the main farm. Attracted by this mouth-watering macadamia nuts, the boyfriend bought me the biggest pack omg thank you so much, bee.

Untitled

Macadamia Nuts

It makes a good snack to eat while strolling down the farm. This is the first pot of tulips I saw while on my way to the stage area. It is so beautiful I kept snapping photos, until a horrific thing happened. When I touched one of the tulips, it just fell off from the pot. It's even worse when a kid saw it and tried to acknowledge his parents, I shhhh him and quickly dug a hole and shoved it back.

Untitled

The smaller farm is already so beautiful that I can't even... When we arrived at the main farm,

There was a sculpture contest going on, didn't manage to snap all of them as they are displayed at the different parts in the main farm, and I was reluctant to walk a long distance, simply I'm just not interested, lol.

We have been in the tulip farm for about 3-4 hours before we decided to head to the the stage area for a quick bite. There, Please Don't Pick The Tulips. I've seen many irresponsible adults simply plucked one up and pose for a photo. Well, #dontbeacheapskate purchase one or two from the tulip kiosk la, peepu.

Untitled

The place is quite muddy, to avoid any unpleasant experience while walking on the soft surface, I wore my sport shoes, and I got to try on the boot scraper, haha. It was supposed to remove the dirt or mud from your shoes but I used it to scratch my itchy foot due to the super thick socks I was wearing.

Untitled

Weather in Melbourne is crazy, unstable and unexpected. The first second it was all gloomy and I thought it was gonna rain, the next second,

Tulip Festival

Sunny with blue blue sky.

Tesselaar Tulip Festival, Melbourne

Plenty of food stalls and wine tasting kiosks! Each of us are given 2 tokens for wine tasting, the boyfriend's parents are cool with anything so I get the choose which wine to go for!

Untitled

The food costs around 10-20aud per set. I can't pronounce the name of foods precisely so I just pointed it out and told them, one set please.

It turned out the boyfriend became our bell boy. He carried our bags throughout the journey. The woolworth shopping bag was bought during my previous holiday in Melbourne, the handle broke and the bottom tore after supporting thick jackets and water bottles.

Yes, I will definitely get another new one, lol.
