Christmas never a thing to me until I met my boyfriend. He is a Catholic in case you're wondering. I know most of the people are excited about gift-exchange session. The more gifts under the Christmas tree, the merrier. In fact, gift-exchange is not my favourite. What I really like about Christmas is decorating the tree and light it up at night. My version of joyful Christmas is to spend quality time with my furkids and family. But this year is different.
I spent my entire Christmas week in Walt Disney World!
The tickets were almost sold out when I ran to the nearest Disney store to get it. Walt Disney has been hosting this party since 1983. I don't know much about the previous years but this year, as in 2013, on select nights guests need to purchase special tickets to enter the park starting 4pm.
Technically the party won't start until the clock strikes 7pm but going in early gives me extra 3 hours to take a walk in the park and also check out their merchandises.
Artificial snows in Main Street USA! It gives a magical feeling as there is no snowing in Florida.
I didn't check out any reviews or blogs regarding this event before. I should have done that. Seriously. I SHOULD. They were giving out special edition sorcerer card to the guests but I didn't get it because I have no idea that they are giving it out! Uncle Scrooge McDuck made special appearance and I missed it! How often we can see him, you tell me.
Anyway, the ticket cost about 70USD (tax included) per person. So is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas worth it? Behold! Wait until you see the magical firework show. During Christmas week, general guests (no extra tickets required) get to see the same parade, Castle show and fireworks as they can stay until the park closed. The difference are the complimentary holiday treats (cookies, hot chocolates, apple juice and apple slices).
Man, the hot chocolate is addictive! I should have filled my water container with it.
Although we had our meal but it still can't stop me from trying out the famous turkey legs! Look at it, it's as big as Fred Flinstone's arm. This is not a snack - it's a meal. My boyfriend and I discharged half of it to the trash bin, I'm truly sorry for that but we really can't finish it. I look like a cave woman holding the turkey leg in my hand.
It's unusual that I did not line up for photo session with characters. Maybe the night was too cold for me. I ended up assemble Lightsaber for myself in a merchandise store. We did try Space Mountain! Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World is single rider, differently from Space Mountain in Hong Kong Disneyland which they put two person in a row. I prefer Space Mountain in Hong Kong Disneyland though.

Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas Time Parade
My camera wasn't behaving well during the parade. Despite that, the parade route is fully occupied with baby stroller gosh, I hardly enjoy the show without paying extra care on my feet, toddlers practically hung on my thigh during the show. Where is your mother, kid!
One of the highlights is "Celebrate The Magic Show On The Castle". Thousands of white lights seemingly dripping off from its towers, what a wonderful sight. The show started at 9.15pm, Sleeping Beauty Castle was "decorated" in many ways, it was so magical so magnificent and I'm so lucky to eyewitness it myself :) This year they featured "Frozen" in the show.
Not long after that, here comes the best show of the night, "Holiday Wishes" Fireworks!
